This is a good example for the capabilities of IIIF which allows nearly infinite zooming into images. It takes place in real time, no matter the resolution of the original image. To the contrary, the bigger the latter, the more immersive and spectacular the user experience.

In this case the resolution of the original image is 7494 x 5671 pixels and the server-side format is JPEG 2000, which is the most preferable format in terms of ratio between quality and compression.
